• Riken, Japan (RCCS)
• Juelich Supercomputing Center, Germany (JSC)

Current Research Areas include:

• Climate Sciences & Earth Systems

• Biophysics / Biomedicine

• Numerical Methods: Developing parallel algorithms for general problems

• Big Data: Developing parallel open source codes to process complex data

• Machine Learning: Integrating ML/DL for general problems

Guidelines

Each project site proposes a number of graduate level student projects. Students apply to work with their mentor of choice at one of these sites. Applications should demonstrate their potential to benefit from the international site’s computational resources and/or research expertise and the applicant’s ability to achieve the stated project goals.
