Discrete-event Simulation

DISCRETE-EVENT SIMULATION RESEARCH TEAM

LEAD PI: NOBUYASU ITO

PROJECT MENTOR(S): Naoki Yoshioka

This project focuses on the simulation of quantum computers and improvement of quantum-computer simulator.

Students accepted to work on this project will work on the optimal design rule for quantum-gate circuits and efficient simulation of quantum computers.

Simulation study on quantum computer using our simulator, “bracket”, will be a promising long-term collaboration. Students applying to this project MUST be working with U.S. based mentors who have expertise in quantum computers and their architecture.

REQUIRED SKILLS

Basic knowledge of quantum information processing is required.

COMPUTATIONAL RESOURCES

Fugaku supercomputer will be available under export control and act of the Japanese government
